Tirada Ni SlickMaster: The "Legal" Scenes

4/25/2014 5:35:40 PM

WOW. Astig. May sampalan na naman! May iyakan!

So, ano kaya yun? Gagang ‘to?!”

Kundi, kardramahan overload.

Kaya tayo nagkakandaleche-leche eh.

Just My Opinion: Mocks, Bashes, and Reactions - featuring Justin Bieber, Manny Pacquiao, and the Raging Netizens

12:03 p.m., 12/11/2012

I'm not surprised if some of the kids nowadays would disrespect people whom were known as "legends" at present time.

Take the case of Justin Bieber's bunch of memes for an example.

As shown on his Instagram account, 2 photos were exhibited. First, displaying the late King Of Pop Michael Jackson and then-knocked out Manny Pacquiao both leaning. And second, The Lion King's Simba was attached in that screenshot where the pound-for-pound was knocked down in his recent clash with his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez and with the caption "Dad wake up."

And the photo draw the ire of reactions, especially for the Filipinos whom were badly hurt after seeing Pacman lost the fight that way.

And in fact, #RespectThePhilippinesBieber was one of the trending topics at the social networking site Twitter last night.

Now, my take.
It's easy to say to condemn what Bieber had done. And true enough, even yours truly did not found this funny at all.

Somebody might say "Okay, give the kid the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was just trying to lighten up the situation that the world (since not all of Pacquiao's fans are Filipinos alone)." But, he'd done that on a wrong timing basis. Indeed, not a very good timing.

Or somebody might react that "Filipinos are so insensitive! They should accept defeat, and with defeat comes an array of jokes." Well, this actually is nothing new on our culture. Some people used to react properly and some may not. And that's the hardest and saddest part.

I guess, those were another bunch of reasons why Justin Bieber was always bashed, aside from those controversies he had went through on his career. Not for the music he is making for the youngsters and the crap-contented "pop culture," but for the matters off the music charts.

Now after reading the thread of those controversial posts on his Instagram, I ended up with these statements.

Is he racist? No, I think he just hates Pacquiao. And he is just expressing his opinion in boxing, like any one of us who digs and still digging on Pacquiao-Marquez IV even if it's already 2 days after that shocking upset.

But too bad.

My PICK #8 - AMALAYER STYLE.

Here’s something that I spotted over the week, and… yes, at the height of that scandalous moment where a young lady was caught in the act by an allegedly a citizen journalist humiliating a lady guard.

More than a video that gave her 60 seconds of fame (or shame). Here’s a mash-up parody track made by a certain DJBrianCua of the music streaming website SoundCloud.

The audio parts were derived from the original video regarding that AMALAYER incident, and from the very best hit of 2012 – Psy’s Gangnam Style.

I first saw this track from one of the tweets of a TV director/critic named Jose Javier Reyes last week.
All I can say is… what the hell. DOPE, and perfect timing then. It was at the height of that trending worldwide moment of AMALAYER.

So far, it has more than 41,000 times on its playing counter, 46 people have spoken regarding the said track, and 41 times favored.

Maybe that can help you move away from the novelty stuff, and at least… can take a joke.

By the way, you can download the track via http://soundcloud.com/djbriancua/amalayer-style

Playback: Wanted: The Road Rager

08/15/2012 | 10:47 AM

Another bad case of road rage was up in the air after the news and public service TV program T3 of TV5 aired on its first segment the video of what their crew witnessed at the intersection of Tandang Sora and Capitol Hill streets in Quezon City.

A certain Robert Blair Carabuena flared up and hit a traffic enforcer of the Metro Manila Development Authority by the name of Saturnino Fabros. All in that and more in this video, which is my pick for this week of August 12-18.

This was the very initial report of the said road rage case, which spared another wildfire of reactions all over the mainstream media and on the social media as well. Carabuena has been the main target of the raging comments on its article on INTERAKSYON.com (link: http://www.interaksyon.com/article/40433/caught-on-video--motorist-mauls-mmda-enforcer)

You'd be the judge, folks. I'll had already my take in The SlickMaster's Files. See the next post!
